Leyland Cypress (Cupressus × leylandii) is the classic privacy conifer, prized for speed. Its soft, feathery sprays of flat, blue-green to deep-green foliage form a dense, columnar-to-pyramidal pillar that holds its color through every season. With a fast growth rate and a mature size of 40 to 60 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide, it is built for tall screens, windbreaks, and property-line privacy where you want height in a hurry.
